Ford Bronco, a great-looking truck with many desirable options including power steering, hydroboost power brakes with front disk, and a freshly rebuilt 302 cubic inch V8 with fewer than 1,000 miles on it.
Finished in an attractive medium grey-green metallic, finish quality is excellent over a straight and rust-free body. Sport trim, chrome bumpers, color-matched flares, a full black soft soft top with tinted windows, and 33x12.50 tires on 15-inch alloy wheels give this Early Bronco a great look.
The interior is finished with stock seats front and rear and a full carpet kit; upgrades include a tilt steering column, a modern gauge cluster, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a locking center console with armrest and cupholders, a locking glove box, an OE-style RetroSound stereo, plus a roll bar with three-point seat belts. The soft top is in excellent condition. All glass was replaced when this truck was restored and all window mechanisms were rebuilt -- so the quarter vents are in great shape, and the roll-up windows in the doors operate very smoothly with no binding. Dual wiper motor conversion works better than stock and eliminates the clunky OEM linkage.
Under the hood is a 302 cubic inch V8 remanufactured engine which was installed in November 2022 fewer than 1,000 miles ago. A new Sanden A/C compressor came included with the engine, so it would be easy to add A/C to this truck (no other A/C components are presently installed). The engine starts easily and runs great, as you would expect, and is mated to a three-speed manual transmission (the shifter was relocated to the floor when the modern tilt column was installed). The stock 4.11 gears were swapped out with 3.73 gears a few years ago for more comfortable highway driving. Stops are straight and sure thanks to hydroboost brakes with front disk; newer suspension and steering components plus an upgraded Saginaw power steering pump afford confident handling. A modest 2.5 inch lift gives this truck a great stance and excellent off-road bona fides without sacrificing on-road drivability. And with a modern Centech wiring harness, all lights and gauges are working reliably.
